Saw a 458 Speciale today

All the extra aero bits always seemed to clutter the elegant 458 design, but in person they really work. All the little details are astounding. Also, I’ve never seen a miniature front plate like that before. Probably a nice option for cars like this, although at that angle especially it’s pretty much unreadable unless the car is stopped.

Not the face or windows, though. Hind view is good.

Personally, if I have to choose a post-2000 Ferrari to call prettiest on the outside, it has to be the F430. The lines are so clean without being sterile and it really doesn’t look bad from any angle. The worst I can say about it is that it is a hair too melted looking, but not as bad as the 360 was:

I never said the 458 was the prettiest, I just think it’s a nice design. I’d probably agree that the F430 looks better. Certainly better than the 360.

Not saying you did, but I just can’t love the 458 when it has so many predecessors that are just so much better looking.

At the very least, the 458 looks better than the 488 GTB.
